Why we exist

VENTRiQ exists because the people who built it lived the problem first.

Legal businesses have evolved. Operational models have not. Too many chambers still rely on fragmented systems, manual processes and overstretched teams to manage finance, compliance, reporting, onboarding and growth.

It solves that without forcing anyone to rebuild from scratch or bolt together a stack of suppliers. The operational leadership has clerked and run chambers, so the platform is built from lived experience, not theory. Kevin Morrow and the business development team are the first conversation most chambers have with VENTRiQ.

VENTRiQ has been developed by people who understand, first-hand, how chambers actually operate day to day, the pressures on clerks and practice managers, and what boards and heads of chambers need to make confident decisions. We operate with board-level oversight and governance, so this is a long-term operational foundation, not a short-term experiment.

Steven leads the board and brings a wealth of experience from chairing and advising growing, investor-backed businesses. His focus is on governance, risk and keeping the business strategically focused.

Emily Foges

Chief Executive Officer

Emily has built her career in legal services and legal technology, working where operations, people and systems meet. At VENTRiQ she focuses on turning strategy into something practical that works for the people using it.

Dr Keiran Fleming

Chief Technology Officer

Keiran leads the technology behind VENTRiQ, focused on building systems that are secure, reliable and easy to use, without adding unnecessary complexity.

Stephen Ward

Commercial Director

Stephen looks after VENTRiQ's commercial side, making sure what we offer genuinely works for legal organisations. As a co-founder of The Barrister Group, he brings direct experience of building legal businesses.

Daniel Strathearn

Chief Financial Officer

A Big Four-qualified chartered accountant with over twenty years in industry, Daniel has led finance through high-growth scale-ups across tech, media and operational property.

Christina Blacklaws

Non-Executive Director

Christina has spent her career at the heart of the legal profession, including as President of the Law Society of England and Wales. She helps ensure VENTRiQ is built with strong ethical foundations.

Harry Hodgkin

Non-Executive Director

Harry is a co-founder of The Barrister Group, the umbrella organisation that VENTRiQ sits within, with first-hand experience of building and growing legal ventures.

Stefan Gunn

Investment Director

Stefan comes from an investment and growth background, working with businesses as they scale and mature, and supporting teams through periods of change and expansion.

Oliver Schofield

Investment Director

Oliver brings private equity experience to the board, with a focus on building strong, sustainable businesses and supporting VENTRiQ's long-term planning.
