Platform & technology

Infrastructure, built where the work actually happens.

VENTRiQ's technology underpins every part of the platform, connecting systems, data and workflows into one operational model. It was built inside a live legal practice, proven in real operations, and developed continuously.

Built for legal services

Purpose-built for legal work, designed to adapt.

The platform was built where regulation, confidentiality and accountability are not an afterthought.

»
Handle sensitive legal and client data securely.
»
Support clear oversight, governance and accountability.
»
Integrate smoothly with existing systems and workflows.
»
Scale as you grow, without adding operational complexity.
»
Adapt as regulatory and operational requirements change.
»
Meet recognised security standards, with Cyber Essentials certification and PCI-DSS compliant payment handling.

VENTRiQ was built inside The Barrister Group, where it runs the operations of Barrister Group Chambers and Barrister Connect. Every feature exists because a real operational problem needed solving.

The model

Software included, not bolted on.

VENTRiQ delivers the operational capability you would expect from standalone chambers management systems, built into the service rather than sold alongside it. Access and continuous development are part of the commission-based model.

  • No separate monthly software licence
  • No per-user fees
  • Nothing to buy, integrate or manage

The preference engine

Work matched to the right person, automatically.

The preference engine matches incoming demand against expertise, experience, availability and location. Allocation becomes fast, appropriate and consistent, instead of a manual judgement made under time pressure.

The Opportunities Board

A shared demand layer, not a referral marketplace.

Unallocated and overflow work is surfaced across the network in a structured, compliant way. Each opportunity is a clear snapshot: case type, source, fee value, deadlines and application status.

  • Opportunities Board: unallocated enquiries made visible where appropriate
  • Overflow routing: work redirected to available experts, for mutual benefit
  • Better matching: allocation improves as availability and capability are visible

This is where the network compounds. Every set that joins adds more demand and more capacity, so matching gets sharper and the opportunities get richer for everyone already on it. The value grows with the network, not just the platform.

The team behind the tech

Built and run by an in-house team, not outsourced.

VENTRiQ's technology is built and run in-house by people with deep experience across legal operations, software delivery and commercial performance. They shape how the platform is built, implemented and used in practice, so it stays secure, reliable and genuinely useful for legal organisations.
